The Start of Our Motivational Monday Journey: One Step at a Time

Welcome to the very first blog in our Motivational Monday series – and the start of something special.

This isn’t your typical motivational content. It’s not about shiny quotes or quick-fix inspiration. It’s about real talk, shared experiences, and honest encouragement for neurodivergent adults – especially those with dyslexia – who want to feel more focused, more confident, and more connected.

We’re building something here. A space that feels like home. A place where you can show up exactly as you are – emotional, exhausted, enthusiastic, or somewhere in between – and still be welcomed with warmth, energy, and positivity.

Why Motivational Mondays?

Because Mondays are hard. Especially when you’ve had the Sunday Night Blues, or you’re fighting off imposter syndrome before you’ve even had your first cuppa.

We know that many of you are running your own businesses, or dreaming about starting one. You’ve got big ideas, loyal hearts, and a drive to make a difference. But sometimes, that drive gets knocked back by the emotional load that comes with being neurodivergent. Whether it’s self-doubt, overthinking, or just trying to stay organised when your brain has other plans — it’s a lot.

That’s why this blog exists.

To be your gentle nudge at the start of each month. To say: “You’ve got this – and we’ve got you.”

What Makes This Different?

This isn’t written by a mindset coach or a motivational speaker. It’s written by someone who knows what it’s like to feel too much, doubt too much, and still try anyway.

I’m nearly 50, and I’ve walked this neurodivergent path for a long time – even when I didn’t know it had a name. I’ve worked hard to build emotional resilience, with help from brilliant people like coach Kirsty Heap, and now I want to share what I’ve learned with others who might need it too.

Our Monthly Theme

Each month, we’ll set a focus. For July, it’s all about creating your own motivation — not waiting for it to arrive.

That might look like:
– Practising positive affirmations
– Taking a mindful moment before you start the day
– Saying something kind to yourself in the mirror
– Stepping outside for a breath of fresh air
– Joining a session with someone who lifts your spirits
– Talking with people who get it

The smallest shifts can lead to the biggest changes.

Who This Blog Is For

This space is for the doers, the feelers, the thinkers, the planners. For those who are strong but tired. Resilient but uncertain. Passionate but occasionally overwhelmed.

It’s for people who want to thrive in their business or workplace, and who believe in collaboration, community, and kindness. Some may face challenges linked to dyslexia or ADHD. Others just want to start their week in a better headspace.

Whatever brings you here – you’re welcome.

Let’s Take That First Step

We don’t know where this journey will take us yet. But we’ll figure it out together. Week by week. Post by post. With openness, compassion, and a little bit of motivation.

Let’s lift each other up and make Mondays something to look forward to.

We’re so glad you’re here.
